I am Alex Maxim, a photographer and a photo retoucher with 25+ years of professional experience in this wonderful creative industry. Born in Ukraine, and now living in Canada for 20 years, I have traveled the world on photo assignments, which allowed me to expand my artistic and cultural vision and integrate European, North American and Asian aesthetics into my creative work, making it more versatile, sophisticated and immersive.

I am currently located in Nanaimo, BC, Canada and offer my commercial and private photographic services within the Vancouver Island and Vancouver area, while my retouching is available to clients worldwide.

As you can see in my portfolio, my work covers a wide range of genres and subjects, from fine art to commercial, from beauty and boudoir to product and landscape. My photography has been published worldwide on numerous book and magazine covers, ads and editorials.

It's very challenging finding a photography retoucher that meets your exacting standards – it's a subjective art and looking at portfolios can often give you a false sense of the individual's talents or taste.

Not the case with Maximimages and Alex. I found Alex several years ago when I needed a second retoucher to handle an overflow job and I've never looked back – he's done probably a hundred jobs for me since then. Always really good, always understands what I'm asking for and works collaboratively with me to get the result I'm after, always great about timelines.

It’s difficult to find a retoucher that understands your requirements from your perspective shared in words and can translate that into retouching results.
