I offer private photography coaching sessions in Nanaimo and Vancouver Island. Being proficient in multiple styles and genres of commercial and fine art photography, I can offer you creative guidance intuitively structured according to your level of expertise, your personal inspirations, desired skills and needs for learning.

My approach is practical, artistic and intuitive with the focus on creating a particular mood, look or ambience using the available light and setting up studio lighting. Learning how to take advantage of the available background and settings, structuring your composition, learning to work with a model (if one is present). The class can be catered according to your needs.

You can provide your own inspiration images and reference material. If you already have a studio space or a preferred location for the class, please let me know.

An hourly rate for private lessons (2 hrs minimum) is $200/hr with your equipment and $300/hr with my equipment (lights, remote trigger, stands, reflectors, backdrop etc. If you'd like to use a pro level medium format camera, it can be arranged at extra charge, otherwise the camera you shoot with is provided by you.).

Optional additional fees may include: studio rental, model fees, make-up artist fees, travel and transportation etc.

Some of the available genres for private classes include: beauty, portrait, fashion, boudoir, glamour, couple, artistic nudes, product, still life, landscape and nature photography.

Learn modeling, create a portfolio

If you are interested in acquiring an experience of working with a professional photographer as a model, learning your angles, expressions, poses, building a modeling portfolio in various genres, or just doing it for yourself to learn a new skill, please get in touch.

An hourly rate for a modeling session is $300 with 2 hours minimum. Additional optional charges may include professional photo retouching (charged per image), rental of a studio space, make-up artist etc. The rate for a 3-hour session with 5 retouched images is $1200+tax.

With my wife Veronika, we offer a very special, therapeutic modeling experience that will allow you to reconnect with your sexuality, bring out your unique self-expression and build self-confidence.
